SDDC Consultant Position
 
vmCUBE is a Professional Service company who brings Automation SDDC and Cloud dimension to customer IT. 

 

The technical Software-Defined Datacenter (SDDC) Consultant is a hands-on Computing Specialist with significant experience in the architecture, design, and deployment of cloud-capable infrastructure. 

In other words, this person will be skilled in all phases of developing and delivering the benefits of virtualization and higher-order abstraction (compute, storage, network, and management) in customer environments, and is fluent in disseminating that information to a given audience. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person and virtual enablement on current and emerging solutions and services offerings for Field and Partner Organizations

  • Develop solution labs and toolkits, best practices & architectural references for developing and deploying SDDC solution – building product integrations to aid solution demonstration and selling

  • Design technical workflow and customer blueprints to implement automation systems 

  • Provide expert technical architectural support and guidance for LSS focus area opportunities in the product incubation phase and during the development of emerging solutions and services

  • Expert technical assistance for field and partner engagements in managing or consulting on vmCUBE focus areas regarding initial implementations for emerging solutions offerings

  • Develop and maintain technical/business expertise on LSS focus area industry directions and trends

  • Work in conjunction with Field Sales Engineering and Technical Support to resolve customer issues

  • Present vmCUBE’s company vision, strategy and product roadmaps to customer and partner executives and technical management

 

 

Must have skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • Adaptable personality, capable of learning new technologies

  • Advanced knowledge of servers and compute resources

  • Advanced knowledge of Networking and Storage concepts and features.

  • Basic Knowledge of Cloud technologies, Infrastructure Automation

  • 5 years in VMware vSphere Infrastructure

  • 2 years in VMware vRealize Operations Manager 5.X, 6.X

  • 2 years in VMware vRealizeOrchestrator or previous vCenter Orchestrator

  • 2 years in VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) or previous vCenter Automation Center (vCAC)

  • 2 years in VMware NSX

  • Basic Web Services integration with SOAP, API, REST, JSON

  • knowledge of scripting with JavaScript or PowerShell

  • Advanced Linux and Windows OS.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • VMware vCloud basic knowledge

  • VMware Log Insight basic knowledge

  • ServiceNow ITOM basic workflow design skills

  • Microsoft Azure skills
